We finally got back Dylan last night! The family is back together.

We had a nice dinner at the new Texas Roadhouse on the south side of South Bend. Heather was rather disappointed that she was not able to get her favorite prime rib, but she was happy with the Cowboy Cut sirloin. So was I. That was the best hunk of meat I have had in a long time.

After getting home, we had our family Christmas. Katelyn got a Leapfrog game player, and Dylan received a PlayStation 2 with some of his favorite games. As I write, he is playing Medal of Honor upstairs while Heather watches.

My highlight was a new electric razor. Now that it is charged, I get to use it for the first time tomorrow. The Wahl razor my parents got me way back in 1999 will finally be retired. It was money well-spent.

The family is all here now, and I am more than ready to get back to a normal life. Between Thanksgiving, business travel, sickness, Christmas, New Year’s, and a lot of time off, I am almost looking forward to the kids returning to school and a five-day workweek starting Monday. I’m just something of a routine type of person; I like structure.

That’s why I am glad we are back to our regular Thursday Night Bible Study routine. We have a new lesson book: Revelation. The format is familiar and comfortable, and it’s just nice having friends over once again to study, worship, and learn from one another.
