06/29/2007: "Pictures and Such"
I’ve had some time to catch up a bit here and there tonight with a couple of links. So, I thought I would catch up with a few pictures I have been accumulating as well. I not talking about the ones from my older personal web site I had spoken of back on June 24, but some other little goodies I had been stockpiling.
I don’t normally make bold, patriotic comments, but the picture below from an e-mail forward was a bit of a kick in the pants for me.
My stomach leaps into my mouth every time I immerse myself in this picture from one of New York City’s skyscrapers. I was not able to climb a ladder taking me to the summit of Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina when I was in much better physical shape than I am now . . . I cannot even begin to muster up the strength to pretend I would enjoy this climb on the tower.
Here is a picture of me from the June 8 Youth Lock-In that I shamelessly lifted from friend Scott’s blog site. Not only will I also retroactively add this picture to the entry, but also add a smaller version to the left hand column of this web site!

Although I cannot find any larger of a graphic than this, at least I can use it to announce our fifth annual guilty pleasure summer obscession of watching CBS’s Big Brother. This year should be similar to Season’s Four’s X-Factor Twist: supposedly several of the houseguests knew each other in real life and had some sort of rivalry or squabble. I just wish the producers would pick the fourteen best people and be done with it, but perhaps that’s why I am a Senior Logistics Analyst fumbling parts into manufacturing divisions, not an Executive Producer of a multinational television phenomena. Do ya think?
And finally, kudos to my friend Jacquie who forwarded me these pictures months ago in response to my research on the highest motorable roads in the world. This little mountain bike excursion makes me appreciate the roads that Dylan has to ride upon to get to school.
