05/06/2007: "Weekend Blarg"
listening to: Without a Trace on CBS
First off, you need to check out Scott’s entry from Monday, April 30. He has some fantastic action pictures from Dylan’s soccer game. I believe he took them all from near the goal where Dylan was, and they look great.

This weekend has been a challenge to endure. Here are several reasons why:
1. We started out the second day of our garage sale early Saturday morning, and it was cold and windy.
2. It started to sprinkle, so we quickly packed up bags and bags of goodies that had not sold.
3. We had to return all of the tables we borrowed. That meant hauling them back to the church and to the farthest points of the basement.
4. I mowed the lawn. Although I did not bag the mulch, it was no easy feat.
5. I cleaned up the basement which was a disaster from looking for garage sale goodies.
6. While I was mowing and cleaning, Heather was running errands through the afternoon.
7. I made humongous honking salads for dinner, and prepared spaghetti sauce for Suunday
8. I somehow managed to get 8 hours of sleep, but at the cost of no personal downtime on Saturday.
9. We got up early for church, and performed our normal morning scramble.
10. We attended early church service and Sunday school, which was the easiest thing we did all Sunday.
11. During the 11 AM church service, we worked with a team to prepare the spaghetti luncheon. Heather managed work in the kitchen, and I spent a log of time running back and forth between the kitchen and the serving area.
12. After lunch, we ran to South Bend to pick up Dylan.
13. After returning home, we all napped in the living room. Even Katelyn fell asleep on the floor!
14. We all went to church for evening service. Heather went with the youth, Katelyn went to OK Chorale, and Dylan and I listened to a visiting missionary.
15. Heather and Dylan stayed behind for the monthly movie in the gym, but Katelyn and I came home to clean up and get some peace and quiet.
16. I cleaned up the kitchen and worked on laundry.
17. Once Heather and Dylan got home, we finally had a chance to sit down and rest.
So, it’s been a busy weekend, both physically and mentally exhausting.
