03/24/2007: "The Winona Railroad and My Hometown"

Winona Railroad in Akron, IndianaBefore I head off to bed, here is a very quick note about a picture I found on the web tonight of the Winona Railroad going through my hometown of Akron, Indiana. This is a follow-up from the large entry I had researched and written on February 24. I found the picture on this page, which is part of this larger historical site on the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum website.

After staring at this picture for a few minutes, I figured out where the photographer was standing. My goal is to take a similar picture from a similar spot and show the contrast.

I had my opportunity this weekend, but blew it when I did not take our digital camera! Well, all good things take time, I guess.
